With an icy disposition as well as an affinity for drone, Nebulosa stands at the gates of the weird as a wanderer does at the crest of some snowy hill overlooking frozen valleys.
Favorite track: The Sleepy Snow-Covered Town.
A northern saw-whet owl flies silently through the forest at dusk. There is nothing inherently odd about this, however this specific northern saw-whet owl is on an important mission. To its leg is tied an important message, which must be delivered to the nearby town. Dark forces are awakening in the region, and perhaps in this very wood. This small, nocturnal courier would do well to continue silently onward to avoid any unwanted attention.
The town laid nestled in the mountains, away from anything resembling true civilization. This time of year, snow is impatiently shoveled off the roads and blankets the rooftops. The denizens of this town are certainly colorful and unique. Some enjoy their ale a bit too much, but at least everyone seems to enjoy the lives that they eke out in this remote area. For the time being, a sense of serenity and security enshrouds this small town.
The messenger northern saw-whet owl arrives at its destination: the town hall. The mayor, as well as socialites and volunteers were gathered to finalize the plans for a local festival when the message arrived. The mayor read aloud the message detailing terrible scrapings, chantings, and rumblings to the horrified listeners. These sounds were observed in the nearby mountains. The townsfolk do not generally wander into these ancient mountains: this is reserved only for the most adventurous souls. Steep, rocky scrambles to windswept peaks, precarious paths, dark, unsettling stands of ancient trees and seemingly endless bogs and swamps keep most people at bay.
In the face of all of this, the mayor recited a declaration of hope. They would protect their town, from whatever evil may live in those mountains that would dare threaten their lives. The mayor's son, the Strigine priest, and the town's greatest hunter stepped forward to offer their assistance. The next morning, preparations began to set these three off on their journey to protect the town.
There was no real path for our adventurers to follow. These three set off to seek The Great Owl in hopes of gaining assistance with the evil dwelling in the mountains. The hunter knew the woods surrounding the town, but the whereabouts of the Owl God were not known to any, except those of the Strigine Order. The priest knew a region made up of primeval white pines was believed to house this owlish deity, making this the goal of the three adventurers. And so they departed, leaving behind the town to march through frozen spruce forests in order to protect everything they knew and loved.

Simply beautiful dungeon synth evocations of sylvan glades, poisoned pools, and phosphorescent herbal cures for maladies of the heart and spirit. Just as in our world, even peaceful places hide shadows within them, yet they also bear the radiant berries of redemption for those brave and persistent enough to seek them out. Dave Aftandilian
